Updates 3/10/20
This below is my friend Hanspeter, he is currently unconscious in a hospital in Bern after a parasailing accident.
We have known each other about 30 years, and it has always been great to catch up with him in Switzerland.
There is I guess a bit of a language gap between us but it has always been so great to catch up. I really hope he can get through this and we see each other again.
Following on from the last post another picture of Home from my childhood.
Waitomo and Te Akau
2 days off so down via the Hamilton gardens to Waitomo
The surreal Garden was!
At Waitomo we went into the Rua Kuri cave
Glow worms fishing for dinner
Then back home via Te Akau, to show from whence I have come
Looking across to the MacDougall place, which I guess is Derek Bregmans still
I have trouble looking out this way and reconciling it with my memory
But this one, the Bluff I remember well
Looking towards the Philburn House, that’s who my father worked for
Looking the other way, we lived there, it has changed a lot, not for the better
And the local primary school, there were just above a hundred pupils when I left there
